So what kind of gifts are we supposed to give each other? The Word says that love is patient and kind love does not envy or boast it is not arrogant or rude… (1 Corinthians 13:4-5). The Bible says that one way we build relationships with others is through giving each other gifts (see 1 Corinthians 13:7). He also wants us to be in a relationship with other people-especially our spouses! But how do we do that? God created us to be relational, and he wants us to be in a relationship with him. You should spend about 20 minutes per week on each lesson so that you can complete it within two months of beginning your studies. It is perfect for couples who have been married for many years, as well as those who have recently tied the knot. The course will help you to understand how to be more effective in your relationship, and how to make the most of every situation. ![]() This bible study is designed to help couples learn to communicate with each other in a positive, loving way. This can be as simple as reading through a chapter each night before bed (or even during breakfast!), or it can be more involved if you want it to be.īible studies for married couples are an excellent way for husbands and wives who want to grow closer together spiritually, but don’t know where to start with their study time together. One of the best ways to start having meaningful discussions with your spouse about God is to get involved in a Bible study together. Meeting together with other Christians, where we can encourage and support each other, helps us on this journey of being transformed.There are many different kinds of Bible studies available-some are more advanced than others, but all of them are designed to help you learn more about God and how he works in your life. This is a continuing transformation, we are renewed daily. We no longer live for ourselves, but “for Him who died for (us)” (2 Cor 5:15). Having been saved by His Word, we seek to be continually transformed by His Word. As we follow Jesus, we receive from him this life and light, we become the children of God (John 1:12). The Word is Jesus the “one and only Son who came from the Father full of grace and truth” (John 1:14b). The word is alive because it is the incarnate word, “the word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” (John 1:14a). “For the Word of God is alive and active” (Hebrews 4:12). ![]() Our name “Living Word” seeks to capture the purpose and essence of our group, that we live by the word of God. This provides our members with an opportunity to explore the passage through sharing and discussion, and where we can help each other relate to what the passage means to our daily lives. We have three bible study groups, where we have discussions that follow the sermon series. We meet between 11:00 am and 12 noon and we cater for young adults, couples and parents. Our bible study groups meet each Sunday morning during school terms.
